Totally man-made by damming the Molonglo river, completed in 1963. There are plenty of things to do on the lake, as well as over 40km of shoreline dotted with man-made wonders.

There are plenty of little towns along the Murray River. After all, It’s the third-largest river in the world, at over 2,500km long! Hire a houseboat or cruise the river in your own. Definitely a great destination.

As one of our capital cities, it’s often overlooked as an excellent destination while travellers head for the national parks. Shadowed by gorgeous Mount Wellington, with hiking and cycling, and spectacular views.
